Liverpool have made Freddie Woodman their third goalkeeper signing.
Woodman will join Arne Slot’s side on a free transfer on Tuesday after his current contract with Preston North End expires at the end of this month.
The 28-year-old follows Giorgi Mamardashvili and Armin Pecsi in making the move to the Reds in a summer of change for the goalkeeping department.
His arrival comes after Caoimhin Kelleher left for Brentford while Viteslav Jaros and Harvey Davies secured loan moves to Ajax and Crawley Town.
Woodman won Player of the Year in his debut season at Deepdale and has made more than 100 appearances in three years with the Championship side.
The Croydon-born stopper previously graduated from Newcastle’s academy ranks before developing during loan spells at Swansea and Bournemouth. For more news relating to Newcastle United, visit our sister site NUFC Latest Live.
