Liverpool have acted quickly to reinforce their squad from a position of strength this summer transfer window and now the club will be looking to recoup some of their spending by moving on the players that won't have a part to play in Arne Slot's second season - but supporters in The ECHO comments section say the jury's still out on whether Harvey Elliott should be included in that group being lined up for a sale.
Harvey Elliott is, undoubtedly, in the shop window after huge performances for the Young Lions at the Under-21s Euros this summer, notably scoring twice to set them through to the final, and then opening the proceedings in a 3-2 defeat of a talented Germany squad.
One club said to be interested in a deal for the Player of the Tournament this summer is Brighton, who have a good track record of developing young players into stars.
The versatile Elliott has found opportunities lacking across recent times at Liverpool, clocking up just 360 minutes spread out over 18 appearances in the Premier League as Slot's side charged to the title.
That's a significant drop in playing time compared to the previous two seasons, and with the players ahead of him - such as newcomer Florian Wirtz - it will be even harder to make his case for starts.

Some reckon that Liverpool should convince him to stay, even if it is as 'super-sub' or in a supporting role.
Reader Corona says: "We've had to put up with having much lesser players in our squad than Harvey Elliott.
It would be a massive shame if he is allowed to leave."
Doctorchillgood writes: "Really hope Harvey Elliott stays.
Is it fair to try to convince Elliott to stay as "super-sub" or a squad player?
