Liverpool is getting 'serious' regarding a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho this summer, according to reports.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool is now ready to offer a 'lucrative new deal' to Quansah in the coming months, given his development in the senior squad this season.

He only signed a new deal at the club last summer but Liverpool will now look to tie him down with a significant pay rise ahead of next season.

However, the fresh deal for Quansah will not change the recruitment plans of CEO MIchael Edwards and sporting director Richard Hughes in the summer, as the Reds look to add further reinforcements within the back four.

It is also believed that talks have already begun regarding a potential move to the club this summer, although Frankfurt could demand a figure in the region of $62million (£50m/€58m) to part ways with the player.

The young defender has displayed confidence and experience beyond his years for the club this season.
