Liverpool are set to reunite with Marc Guehi later this month, just weeks after his proposed £35million switch from Crystal Palace to Anfield dramatically fell through on deadline day.
"We had a meeting in March and we had an agreement that we're just selling Marc if we have the right replacement in," he explained following Palace's 3-0 triumph over Aston Villa.

"And we wanted to have this replacement at the beginning of the season, the pre-season, to be independent from this situation."
"This was July 9, today is August 31, there is no replacement in the building.
Because he loves Crystal Palace, he loves the team and we feel the appreciation he has and he also feels the same from his side."

Marc Guehi is set to face Liverpool this month.
After the September international break, Palace have Premier League fixtures against Sunderland and West Ham, with an EFL Cup tie against Millwall sandwiched in between.

The month concludes with a visit from reigning champions Liverpool to Selhurst Park, setting up an almost immediate reunion for Guehi with the club that tried to sign him on deadline day.
When the match comes around, it will mark the third time Liverpool have faced Palace in their last 10 competitive games.
