Liverpool fans, don’t blink — another signing is on the way.
After sealing a deal for Dutch right-back Jeremie Frimpong, the Reds are now set to announce their second signing of the summer (via Nemzeti Sport), and it’s not what you are expecting: Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper has agreed to join the club from Puskas Akademia in what will be a record sale for the Hungarian side.
Liverpool sees him as one for the future — and possibly much more than that.
As per The Athletic, Pecsi will begin his Liverpool journey with the U21 squad.
The club plans to have him train with the first team during pre-season, and he’s already pencilled in as the third-choice keeper behind Alisson and incoming signing Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Pecsi will probably become the third Hungarian set to feature for the Reds after Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez (who has also been linked with a move).
One standout performance against Fiorentina in the Conference League caught many eyes, but Liverpool had already been watching.
Interestingly, Pecsi only switched to goalkeeping at age 10.
It’s a trait Liverpool values highly, and a skill that mirrors their style of play from the back.
He may be third in line, but Pecsi’s signing is a reminder that the Reds are planning for the long run — and keeping one eye on the next Alisson.
