The winger still has two years remaining on his contract, and this summer has shown that there should be no shortage of interest next summer when there will be be just 12 months remaining.

By that point, Diaz will be 29, and while he may still have an important part to play in the 2025/26 title defense, it would be fair to assume that the Reds will have eked out the best the winger has to offer.

Whether Bayern will still be on the lookout for a new forward by then is debatable, but Liverpool shouldn't be short of offers, and with Nunez and Chiesa potentially leaving, letting Diaz go as well would leave more work than is necessary this summer
