Liverpool star Diogo Jota has died at the age of 28 following a car crash.
The incident happened on Thursday morning in Zamora, Spain.
Jota was an integral part of Liverpool's roster, joining the club from Wolves in 2020 and enjoying significant success over the last five years.
The forward helped Liverpool win the Premier League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup, scoring 65 goals in 182 games.
He was also part of the team that reached the 2022 Champions League final, losing to Real Madrid.
Before joining Liverpool, Jota played for Pacos de Ferreira and Porto in Portugal, Atletico Madrid in Spain, and Wolves in England.
He inspired the latter team to the Championship title during the 2017-18 season, scoring 17 league goals.
Jota also represented his country at international level, scoring 14 goals in 49 senior appearances for Portugal.
He helped his country win the Nations League twice, with the second of those victories coming just last month.
