Dominik Szoboszlai has announced the birth of his first child with a heart-warming post on social media.

The Liverpool midfielder confirmed he and his partner, Borka Buzsik, were expecting earlier this year, with Szoboszlai making the announcement official after celebrating a goal against Brighton in May.

He sucked his thumb and tucked the ball under his shirt after scoring the Reds’ second of the game on the south coast.

Now, having returned from the Reds’ tour of Asia, the 24-year-old has marked the arrival of his first child by posting a picture of his newborn holding on to his hands, along with an emotional message to his child and his wife.

Thank you, my love for bringing her into our life!” Szoboszlai posted.

The news was greeted by a number of Szoboszlai’s friends and fans on Instagram, including former Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold, who replied with a loveheart emoji.

The birth of Szoboszlai’s first child caps off what has been an unforgettable year for the midfielder both on and off the pitch.

He and Buzsik went public with their relationship last summer before announcing their engagement in October.

They tied the knot in March of this year, with Szoboszlai sharing a picture of him and his bride on social media along with the caption: “2025.03.25”, marking the date of their wedding in Hungary.

Just a couple of months later, Szoboszlai was lifting the Premier League trophy with Liverpool, and he’ll be hoping to claim more silverware with the Reds as the 2025/26 season draws into view.

There’s now less than two weeks to go before Liverpool kicks off the new campaign against Bournemouth, with the Cherries visiting Anfield on August 15.

Before then, the Reds are set to play a double-header against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield tomorrow, before heading to Wembley to take on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on August 10.
