As part of the deal, Liverpool have a buy-back option believed to be valued at around double the fee, talkSPORT understands.
Everton, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, as well as Porto, were interested in signing Doak this summer, while Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace made approaches for him in January.
However, he has instead joined Andoni Iraola's side, becoming their fourth summer signing.
“I’m buzzing to be here," he said after his move was announced.
"I feel like it’s the right time for me and it’s a great opportunity to play regular football at the highest level.
It’s fast and it really suits my game, so I felt like I couldn’t say no to the chance to play here.”
Doak is set to wear the No.11 shirt for his new club as well as changing the name on the back of his jersey.
The 19-year-old will display 'Gannon Doak' on his shirt for Bournemouth this season as he opted to include his middle name.

Meanwhile, he made ten first-team appearances for Liverpool during his time at Anfield.
The teenager signed from Celtic in 2021 aged just 16, having already featured for the Scottish giants.
Doak had been an unused substitute in the Community Shield earlier this month.
However, he was not included in the matchday squad for the season opener against Bournemouth on Friday.
Late goals from Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah sealed a 4-2 win for Arne Slot's side.
Doak's sale brings Liverpool's total summer sales to a guaranteed £206m and £227m including add-ons.
