Liverpool won their 20th league title after displaying a promising performance under new manager Arne Slot.
They are aiming to win consecutive league titles and are fully committed to their goal.
The club is actively rebuilding its squad with some early signings, including Jeremie Frimpong, who will replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, as well as goalkeeper Armin Pecsi, who has joined from Puskas Academia.
This is Liverpool’s second Premier League title after winning the 2019/20 season under the German mastermind Jurgen Klopp.
Alisson Becker was between the posts on both occasions, along with other key teammates.
But the Brazilian also spoke about his disappointment over missing the title in seasons where Liverpool came so close.

Liverpool’s No.
1 revealed: “We came close twice.
We lost this competition once with 97 points and the other time I think with 92.”
He was referring to the 2018/19 season, when the Reds came painfully close to winning the Premier League for the first time, but Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City clinched the title by just 1 point in the end.
Liverpool finished that campaign with 97 points — a record tally for a second-place team — but didn’t lift the trophy.
The other instance he pointed to was the 2021/22 season, where Klopp’s Liverpool again missed out on the title by a single point, finishing with 92 as City edged them once more.
Alisson also added: “We knew that this group deserved to have won more than once.
So there are all these factors that make this achievement even more special.”
Winning the Premier League twice is a great feeling, especially after missing out so narrowly on two separate occasions — that’s the emotion reflected in his words.
Manchester City were dominant in the Premier League for the last few years, winning the title four times in a row between 2020 and 2024.
The rivalry between two of Europe’s greatest managers — Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola — made those battles even more memorable.
