Match of the Day pundit Alan Shearer made a glaring on-air blunder while discussing Liverpool's 4-2 win over Bournemouth.
Arne Slot's squad picked up their first three points of the Premier League season following their opener on Friday night.
In his post-match analysis, Shearer faulted left-back Milos Kerkez in the build-up to the goal, though the summer signing had been substituted four minutes earlier!
It was an error swiftly picked up on social media and beyond as the show began a new era without Gary Lineker - who called it a day after 25 years at the end of last season.
As the footage played, Shearer openly slammed Kerkez's positioning, telling host Mark Chapman: "There's Kerkez, he's on the way to attack when they haven't even got possession, he's five or six yards out of position."

However, the error was compounded by an on-screen graphic, which wrongly named Kerkez instead of Andy Robertson as the defender in the full-back role during the goal - many quickly noticed the mistake and took to social media to react.
One commented on X: "Alan Shearer has lost the plot with that.
"Also since [Gary] Lineker is gone, what's the point of watching MOTD anymore really?"

Another added: "What makes this worse is that it was analysed a full 24 hours AFTER the game had taken place.
"Lazy punditry or terrible bias."
A third stated: "Kerkez's positioning for the first Bournemouth goal was atrocious.
"So far out of position, tracksuit on and worst of all sat down."
After the game, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot explained Kerkez's withdraw.
Manchester United, Everton and England great Wayne Rooney was also introduced as a new pundit, reportedly joining on a £800,000-per-year deal.
