Liverpool are preparing for the exit of Harvey Elliott  with the impending arrival of Alexander Isak set to prompt the England star's departure.



Aston Villa are advancing on a deal for the 22-year-old, according to The Athletic.

It would see Elliott head to Villa Park on loan before an obligatory £35million buy clause is exercised next summer.

Isak's arrival frees up Elliott to make his move to secure more game time elsewhere because the Swede - who will cost a British record £125m - offers Arne Slot a crucial extra attacking option for the Premier League champions.
