Jarell Quansah continues to thrive with Liverpool this season, with his impressive displays not going unnoticed elsewhere.

The 21-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Reds to date, scoring once, claiming three assists, and helping Jurgen Klopp’s side win the League Cup against Chelsea last month.

He’d also start Liverpool’s last four matches before the March international break, with such a run including the Reds’ 1-1 draw with title-rivals Man City as he helped keep Erling Haaland quiet at Anfield.

Klopp’s men return to Premier League action at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 31 March, before they face eight games in just 24 days during April.

Continuing to challenge for both the Premier League title and Europa League, Liverpool will travel to both Manchester United and Everton during such a period.

It has been a season to remember for Quansah regardless of how the campaign ends, considering he was yet to even play competitively for Klopp’s first team prior to their comeback victory away at Newcastle United at the end of August.

And England Under-21s manager Lee Carsley has been most impressed by the young centre-back’s progress, admitting he is benefitting from playing in the Liverpool first team as opposed to going out on loan ahead of handing Quansah his fourth Young Lions cap against Luxembourg on Tuesday night.

“I think he’s really moving well in the right direction,” he said.

“I really think that it helps that he’s got some strong, experienced players around him.

I’ve been really impressed with him this week.”

Quansah is not the only Liverpool academy starlet to have caught the eye at Anfield this season, with a hefty injury crisis seeing the likes of Bobby Clark and Jayden Danns turned to by Klopp.

And Carsley revealed that he had received glowing reports across the England set-up as Liverpool’s academy starlets continued their impressive campaigns on the international stage.

“Yeah, definitely (it’s great for us),” he replied when asked about the number of Academy players who have stepped into the Liverpool first team this season.
