The summer transfer window is open and Liverpool are already being linked with several potential new signings.
One area of the squad that has bene the subject of speculation is the final third, particularly in the striker department.
Liverpool are in talks to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, having recently submitted a £113million bid for the playmaker.
If a deal goes through, Wirtz would be able to play either in midfield or the front three, given the Germany international's impressive versatility.
It remains to be seen what Liverpool's forward options will look like when the 2025/26 season gets underway.
Whether it be a striker or winger, a host of players have been linked with signing for the Reds this summer, which has led to speculation about existing members of the squad.

With that in mind, the ECHO takes a look at Liverpool's current forward options and what the future holds.
Mohamed Salah
Going into the final months of last season, Mohamed Salah's future was the subject of intense speculation.
Now that the Egyptian has signed a new contract, Liverpool supporters will know that they will be able to rely on their No.11 going into the new campaign.
After scoring 34 goals in all competitions last term, Salah will be hoping to enjoy similar form in front of goal going into next season, too.
Salah was a regular start in Slot's first season at Liverpool and that is not expected to change going into 2025/26.
Luis Diaz
Luis Diaz enjoyed his best goalscoring season for Liverpool last term, with 17 in all competitions.
However, the last few weeks has seen the Colombia international linked with a move to Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League.
The Reds recently rejected an approach from Barca for Diaz, but there is still likely to be speculation around his future throughout the summer.
Diaz spent portions of last season at centre forward for Liverpool, but has a favoured position on the left wing.
If the Reds do agree a deal to sign Wirtz, who can also be used as a left winger, it could also raise questions as to what role Diaz will have going into next term.
Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo enjoyed an impressive season last term, and is likely to still have a long-term future at Liverpool.
The Netherlands international alternated with Diaz in the left wing role and played a major part in the club's run to the Premier League title.
The last few weeks has seen Gakpo tentatively linked with a move to Bayern Munich, rumours which the player himself recently addressed.
Given the 26-year-old's importance to the team last term, it would be a major surprise if Gakpo was not handed similar responsibilities next season on the left wing.
Darwin Nunez
Ever since Slot was named as the club's head coach, there has been speculation about what the future will hold for Darwin Nunez.
As the campaign drew to a close, those rumours only intensified with many suggesting that the striker could leave Anfield this summer.
Nunez was eight starts in the Premier League last season, and Slot will likely want to have a striker who will get more minutes in the top flight.
Whether or not Nunez will remain a Liverpool player, at this point, remains uncertain, though.
Diogo Jota
Diogo Jota endured a difficult season at Liverpool after being on the sidelines with injury for much of the campaign.
The Portugal international was restricted to just 26 appearances in the Premier League, 14 of which were starts, but did manage to score nine goals in all competitions.
Jota's ability to press from the front and be clinical in front of goal has proven to be more than valuable to Liverpool since his arrival almost five years ago.
With the Reds being linked with signing a new centre forward, though, it does raise questions as to what the club may have planned for Jota going forward.
Federico Chiesa
Liverpool made just one signing last summer, and that was Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
Even though the Italy international has been limited to just 14 appearances in his first season at Anfield, he has quickly become a fan favourite on the Kop.
Reports in recent days have suggested that Chiesa's future at Liverpool could be in doubt, with rumours that he could return to Italy this summer.
Given that Salah has signed a new contract and will be expected to be a regular starter for the next two years, it's difficult to see where Chiesa will get more minutes going forward.
