Liverpool are considering their options as they grapple with the availability of Fabinho and Alisson Becker this weekend.

And Liverpool are hopeful that will include allowing the two players to travel abroad for the Champions League game as part of the "bubble" in which the Reds squad continue to operate.

The midfielder indicated Liverpool were assessing the option of the pair flying direct to Spain ahead of Tuesday's Champions League group game at Atletico Madrid.

Having visited red list countries Venezuela and Colombia during the international break, Fabinho and Alisson will have to partake in a 10-day bespoke quarantine during which they will be released once a day to train and play in games.

But given Alisson is a goalkeeper, there is a greater chance him being involved would not hamper the work already done by the rest of the squad ahead of the match.

If not, flying the duo directly to Spain would conceivably mean they could remain in the country until later next week before returning to England, thus negating the need to quarantine on these shores as more than 10 days will have passed since they were in a red list country.

Speaking on Wednesday, Fabinho admitted he didn't expect either him or Alisson to be available for Watford.
