Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have both been linked with moves away from Merseyside fuelling rumours that a new striker may be on the agenda, and the Reds could have money to spend on a new centre-forward as well.
Here, ECHO writers debate which striker Liverpool should try and sign this summer.

All roads lead to Newcastle when it comes to the Liverpool striker battle, if you ask me.
While the majority of the noise has been that the player is not for sale, there have been suggestions of a price tag in excess of £150million.
But if Liverpool do want to sign the best striker that could be available for transfer this summer, Isak is the number one option, in my opinion.

Liverpool are in unchartered territory.
Linda Pizzuti appears to have taken the spending cap off John Henry's bank card and now absolutely anything seems possible.
The record transfer fee paid for Florian Wirtz—a deal I could never have envisaged only a couple of months ago—could actually be eclipsed if the Reds are serious about going after Alexander Isak.
His 25 goals for the French club last season (including one at Anfield) stand him in good stead.
See how he goes and go back for Isak in a year if the stars align.

If Liverpool want to be the best team in the country, or indeed Europe, then they are going to have to buy the best.
On the market that would be Alexander Isak.
Now appears to be the time to buy Isak as he is at the start of his so-called 'prime' years as a footballer, though Newcastle United will most likely make any deal difficult.
This saga could go either way, so Liverpool should go ahead and test the waters for Isak but at the same time, be very much prepared for the eventuality that they do not get their man.
In that case they will need an alternative and may this be the suggestion of an entirely new man never linked with Liverpool before - Lyon's Georges Mikautadze.
The French club are in financial ruin, relegated to Ligue 2 as a consequence, and the Reds could scavenge a cheap deal in the aftermath.
At 24 years of age, he has made 148 appearances with 71 goals scored and 26 assists provided.
Mikautadze also has the versatility to feature as a striker, deeper centre forward or left winger, covering Liverpool in multiple positions whilst players like Federico Chiesa and Luis Diaz are also linked with moves away.

The dream transfer for Liverpool would be Alexander Isak, given his performances and goals for Newcastle in the Premier League since making the move to St James’ Park.
