Liverpool is facing an anxious wait to discover the outcome of its Marc Guehi transfer move after submitting a deal sheet, giving a two-hour extension on getting it over the line.

The transfer window is officially closed but clubs can put in the paperwork for extensions.

However, it doesn't matter how much time there is from a Reds' perspective; it's all about Crystal Palace giving the green light from here.

A deal worth $47 million (£35 million) was agreed with Crystal Palace earlier today and the player has undergone medical testing.

First reported by The Telegraph, Liverpool submitted a deal sheet in a bid to get the Guehi deal over the line in time.

Crystal Palace has since confirmed the signing of Jaydee Canvot, a French youth international defender from Toulouse.

"I told the chairman we have to keep Marc if we want to play a successful season," Glasner told BBC Sport on Sunday.
