Liverpool began their summer pre-season with a comfortable 3-1 win over Preston North End.
It was an emotional day for the Reds as it marked the first match since the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, who lost their lives last week.
Head coach Arne Slot named two separate XIs in each half at Deepdale on Sunday, with the first-half line-up featuring summer signing Giorgi Mamardashvili and the second-half team including Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez as well as Freddie Woodman.
Conor Bradley gave the Premier League champions the lead after the half-hour mark before Darwin Nunez made it 2-0 in the early stages of the second period.
Cody Gakpo added a third late on, after Liam Lindsay had reduced the deficit for Preston.
Giorgi Mamardashvili was left proud after making his unofficial debut.
He is the first Georgian player to represent Liverpool.
