Liverpool are said to be in 'advanced talks' with Jeremie Frimpong and his agent has now shared an update on his work.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is a top contender should the Reds decide to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold with an external addition this summer.

Frimpong would reportedly be of interest to Liverpool, especially considering his release clause of approximately £30m that can be activated this summer.



The Dutch international has already shared his thoughts on the Anfield club.

"Liverpool is a great club with history," he told Ziggo Sport in February 2024.

Who knows what the future will bring."

Sky Sports Germany reports that 'advanced talks' between the Reds and the ex-Manchester City player are in progress.

This news comes as Frimpong's agent, Jeffrey Lemmert, posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story.

The message read: "We working," followed by hourglass and rock climbing emojis.

Frimpong has quickly become a key player in former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen team over the past two-and-a-half years.

In total, he has made 190 appearances in Germany, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal cup double by going unbeaten domestically in 2023/24.

On Sunday, Die Werkself played their final home match of the season, during which Frimpong scored and celebrated with his manager, who announced he will be leaving at the end of the season.

"Lived it.

Farewell, Coach [love heart emoji]," he penned in a heartfelt tribute on his personal Instagram page.
