Arne Slot has revealed Liverpool are looking to the transfer market to "find one or two extra weapons" for the defence of their Premier League title.

And having moved decisively to all but secure the replacement of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, while tying Conor Bradley to a new deal, there is also interest in Bournemouth's left-back Milos Kerkez.

A new centre-forward might also be on the agenda after seeing Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota contribute just 11 Premier League goals between them in a campaign that has seen left-winger Luis Diaz often operate in the unfamiliar No.9 position.

The ECHO reported last week that Anfield officials have also contacted the entourage of Florian Wirtz to register their interest should the Leverkusen attacker opt for a new challenge outside of the Bundesliga.
