Bournemouth have confirmed that Dean Huijsen will join Real Madrid at the end of the season after the Spaniards activated the defender's £50m release clause The 20-year-old, who joined the Cherries from Juventus last summer, has been one of the breakout stars of the Premier League season, with his performances catching the eye of both Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Reds were one of several Premier League sides keeping tabs on the Spain international after it became apparent that he had a £50m release clause written into his contract on the South Coast.
But despite interest from the Premier League champions, it is Real Madrid who have won the race for the highly-rated Huijsen.
On Saturday morning, Bournemouth confirmed that the 15-time European champions had triggered the release clause in the defender's contract, leaving him to complete the formalities of a move to the Spanish capital at the start of June.

However, the England international looks set to miss out on Real Madrid's group stage fixtures against Al-Hilal, Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg after it was reported that Madrid have been unable to agree on a deal with Liverpool to release the defender from his contract early.
If that is to be the case, Alexander-Arnold's Real Madrid debut would be dependent on his side reaching the first knockout round on June 30 or July 1.
