Despite the interest, Shakhtar kept hold of Sudakov but is likely to face more interest this summer.

After extending his contract at his current club until 2028 earlier in the year, Sudakov suggested there was an agreement in place for him to leave this summer.

Palhinha backs managerial candidate to succeed at Liverpool

Fulham midfielder João Palhinha has backed Sporting CP boss Rúben Amorim to succeed at Liverpool if given the opportunity.

The defensive midfielder, who has previously been linked with Liverpook, has now tipped his former boss to do the same, if he is selected as Klopp's successor.
