Liverpool could not have asked for much more from Arne Slot's debut season in the Premier League.

However, as is the nature of football, Slot and his men cannot rest on their laurels.

It will be expected that Arsenal will come back stronger this summer and they have already been linked with a number of high profile recruits as they try to bridge the gap.



Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz is seen as a top target for the Reds in the transfer window while his teammate Jeremie Frimpong is expected to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.

AFC Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez is seen as the long-term replacement for Andy Robertson and could be purchased this summer to ease that transition.

However, it appears the Reds are in the market for extra signings to go on top of the Leverkusen duo and Kerkez.
