A supercomputer has given a verdict on Liverpool’s title chances after the team’s comeback victory over Wolves. Jurgen Klopp’s side looked to be heading for a defeat after a dismal opening 45 minutes at Molineux saw the Reds fall behind. The boss made a half-time switch, introducing Luis Diaz, and helped get the team back on level terms through Cody Gakpo, shortly after the restart.
The team extended their lead in added time as Harvey Elliott’s shot found its way past Jose Sa, via a deflection off Wolves defender Hugo Bueno. It was Liverpool’s fourth victory in five games and saw the team briefly top the Premier League table before restored their three-point lead. Following the weekend’s results, BETSiE supercomputer has updated its predictions for the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Meanwhile, Man City have been awarded a 77.2 per cent chance of becoming the first English side to win four consecutive top-flight league titles.
