Liverpool are set for a busy summer transfer window, with the rumour mill going into overdrive as the Premier League season reaches its climax.

Jeremie Frimpong is set to join Liverpool, with the Bayer Leverkusen star already reportedly having his release clause met by the Reds.

And, even though a transfer to Liverpool makes a lot of sense for the Hungary international, this hasn’t stopped other Premier League teams from also throwing their hat into the ring.

The report goes on to say that while Kerkez is interested in a move to Liverpool, the Reds are yet to table an official bid for the defender.

While Real Madrid are no longer interested in Kerkez, the emergence of Manchester City as rivals for the full-back’s signature means Liverpool must act quickly.

If the 2024-25 Premier League season has shown Liverpool fans anything, it’s that they need an Andy Robertson successor as soon as possible.

Granted, the Scotsman has performed to a solid standard once in a while this term, but the fact that Kostas Tsimikas has played in 18 Premier League games this season shows that Slot isn’t completely happy with the former Hull City man.

The addition of Kerkez to Liverpool’s first-team squad would give them one of the strongest back fours in the division, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Frimpong being among the best defenders in the league.
