Liverpool could reportedly hijack Newcastle United's pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

The Merseyside giants are determined to land a marquee striker this summer with Darwin Nunez expected to head for the exit door.

Newcastle's Alexander Isak is the prime target for the Merseyside giants and they are ready to pay around £120 million for his services.



However, the Magpies are reluctant to consider the Swede's departure.If their stance does not change, the Reds could swoop for Ekitike, who is one of the top targets for Newcastle in the current transfer window.
