Liverpool will begin their Premier League title defence on home soil.

Wednesday’s fixture reveal confirmed that the reigning champions are set to kick the new campaign off against Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday, August 15 at 8pm.

The meeting with the Cherries will be broadcast on Sky Sports comes five days after Arne Slot’s side take on Crystal Palace in their Community Shield at Wembley.

Following the visit of Andoni Iraola’s side, they will face a trip to Newcastle United before welcoming last season’s title rivals Arsenal on August 30.

The season’s first Merseyside derby takes place at Anfield on September 20 before the Reds pay a first visit to Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium on April 18.

Christmas sees the title holders hosting Wolves on December 27 before they face another home encounter against Leeds three days later on December 30.

A new calendar year will begin at Fulham on January 3 before Liverpool finish the campaign at home to Brentford on Sunday, May 24.

All fixtures are subject to change and broadcast rescheduling.
