Liverpool will have raked in more than £200 million ($270.9 million) from player sales this summer once Ben Doak joins Bournemouth.

The Scottish international is finalizing a £25 million ($33.9 million) move to the south coast after completing his medical over the weekend.

The Reds also pocketed £8 million ($10.8 million) from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold's early departure, a month before his contract ended.

This is helping to balance their massive summer expenditure of around $400 million.

That figure will rise even further before the transfer window shuts, with Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace on the club's radar and ongoing efforts to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

He said: "I think we can find one or two extra weapons this team doesn’t have.

"Maybe, maybe, by using the transfer market

"That is what we need because we saw (Manchester) City spending £200 million in the (January) transfer window

Apart from the transfer window, we can also improve certain aspects ourselves."

Slot was recently asked whether Guehi, who has one year left on his contract with Palace, will join before the transfer deadline in two weeks.

He replied: "No, (I cannot go into more detail) because he is not our player and unfortunately he was the captain of the team where we lost against (in the Community Shield) last Sunday.

"No, if you want to have any talks about him, you should go to Palace, to (Oliver) Glasner and ask him his opinion about him."
