Liverpool are closing in on a mega-money deal to make Adidas their new kit suppliers, ditching Nike in the process.

Nike have supplied the Reds kits since the 2020/2021 campaign, with New Balance having the contract before that.

Nike currently pay Liverpool a fee of £30million per season as part of their contract.

That deal appears to have caught the attention of Liverpool, with SportBusiness reporting they are set to leave Nike for Adidas.

A tender process for the lucrative contract was held recently, with Adidas fending off interest from Nike and Puma to win.

Adidas has held that deal for more than 70 years and is now worth £43m a year.

But Nike have blown them out of the water to take over the role of supplying Germany from 2027.

The next battleground will be over the French national team contract, with that tender process now underway.

As well as Liverpool, Nike currently also supply Chelsea, Tottenham and Brighton.
