Liverpool midfield star Alexis Mac Allister should now be worth £400m because of his impact on Arne Slot ’s Premier League winners, according to Troy Deeney.
The Reds paid £35m, not including up to £20m more in add-ons, for Argentina star Mac Allister two years ago but Deeney reckons his value has been multiplied by ten this season.
Only Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch have registered more minutes than Mac Allister.
He has provided five goals and four assists - though it is his penchant for the unseen dirty work that is valued most.
His performances have led to rumours of interest from Real Madrid but with three seasons left on his contract at Anfield, it would take a huge offer for a move to happen.

And speaking on Talksport, former Watford striker Deeney said: “When you look at the midfield, his [Slot’s] whole season has been encapsulated by that midfield three.
“Ryan Gravenberch has been fantastic, he’s one of two players to play every game, and then there’s Alexis Mac Allister, who for £40m now looks like he could be worth £400m.”

While the chances of Mac Allister leaving appear to be somewhere between slim and none, it is expected to be a busy summer on Merseyside.
While Van Dijk and Salah have extended their stay at the club, Slot’s squad is expected to undergo plenty of change this summer.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is almost certain to depart as a free agent, while misfiring centre forward Darwin Nunez could be sold amid interest from Atletico Madrid.

The Uruguayan, 25, has scored five times in just eight league starts with the only notable highlight coming off the bench to score twice late on to win at Brentford.
Liverpool would like a fee of about £40million for a player who cost £64million in the summer of 2022 but may need to settle for less.
And the Reds are expected to target two new full backs - one to replace Alexander-Arnold and another to ease the burden on veteran left back Andrew Robertson - on top of a striker to ensure they are well-stocked in their attempt to defend the title.
