As the season draws to a close all attention quickly turns to preparing for the summer transfer window. While Liverpool isn't expected to go overboard in the market there are some areas which clearly require attention.

Up front, Cody Gakpo has done well to replace Firmino in the false nine role, but another striker could be a good option to cover for another injury crisis. The one position that is in desperate need of attention is the midfield.



Hamann spent a single season at before joining the Reds and thinks their Brazilian midfielder, Joelinton is ideal for Klopp's side. Speaking to Hamann said: "I'd like a player like Joelinton from Newcastle, who's got a physical presence.



Still, if Klopp did agree with Hamann, there might just about still be a window where raiding Newcastle remains possible.
