Liverpool have been advised by John Barnes to go out and sign a possible successor to the front three this summer, naming the most suitable player in the process.
Barnes believes that Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, who has been linked with Liverpool in the past, would be the “perfect fit” for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The Reds have relied on the trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to score the bulk of their goals in recent years.
“One player that I think could make it at Liverpool is Ousmane Dembele,” Barnes told BonusCodeBets.co.uk.
“He’s a player that fits the way Liverpool plays and I think that Liverpool would be interested in that type of player.
“He would fit right into the front three because his directness is perfect for Liverpool’s way of playing.
Kop legend Barnes believes that, while he doesn’t expect any of the front three to leave this summer, he has advised the Reds to go out and sign a new forward.
