Liverpool have already revealed Jeremie Frimpong as the first signing of what appears to be a summer of intent.

Frimpong's former teammate, Florian Wirtz, is the big focus of Anfield chiefs as they remain confident in negotiations despite the rejection of a £109m bid for the midfielder.

If they are able to press ahead then Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez is a target to secure the long-term future of the left-back role in Slot's plans, meanwhile there is plenty of speculation over which forwards Liverpool will retain or need to replace.



Eintracht Frankfurt's 22-goal man Hugo Ekitike is hotly linked.

These deals, completed or being worked on, all act as incredible indicators that FSG are committed to keeping the club at the Premier League's summit.

In addition to those mentioned, there is one more arrival who may go under the radar amid all of the current excitement.

Last summer a £30m agreement was struck with La Liga outfit Valencia for the transfer of goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Planned for in advance of summer 2025, it was always the intention that the Georgian international would complete his switch officially on July 1.

He is therefore due to report to the AXA Training Centre when pre-season training begins next month alongside fellow fresh face Frimpong.

It remains to be seen whether Wirtz, Kerkez, Ekitike or indeed any others will enter alongside, but it is quite evidently Liverpool's intention to have their business wrapped up quickly to give Slot the best chance to get started for the new season.

A lot has been made of Mamardashvili and the role he is to play upon joining his new club.

The 24-year-old has been a key starter at Valencia for the past four seasons but he will be faced with the challenge of usurping Alisson Becker.

It would appear he is taking Caoimhin Kelleher's spot in the pecking order as the Irishman is close to an £18m move to Brentford.

"They are looking at me as the Liverpool goalkeeper for the next 10 years,” he told Geo Team when asked what the Reds told him during transfer negotiations last year.
