Liverpool have made a splash in the transfer market, securing the services of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for a cool £40 million.



The full-back, following on from Florian Wirtz's arrival, has committed to a five-year stint at Anfield, taking the club's post-season expenditure to an eye-watering £216 million.

Under Arne Slot's guidance, Liverpool are shaping a formidable squad, with whispers of a new striker being on the cards as Darwin Nunez's tenure at the club hangs in the balance.

Upon sealing his move, Kerkez expressed his unwavering commitment to Liverpool, citing Richard Hughes' influence and Slot's vision as pivotal in his decision-making process.

Kerkez shared his thoughts: "As everyone knows, [Richard Hughes] brought me to Bournemouth and was [a] big part why I came to Bournemouth," and added, "Obviously also [important] is the gaffer – I also had talks with him.

The 21 year old, who previously spent time at Crewe Alexander during the 2023/24 season, has yet to make his debut for the Reds.

Despite being named in 18 matchday squads, Davies, a Liverpool player since under-9 level, signed a new contract before joining the League Two side.

"I'm chuffed to bits to be here," Davies expressed, "I've had some brilliant chats with folks at the club and they've made me feel valued and welcomed."

He added: "I had a top-notch conversation with the gaffer who really sold the club to me and said he wanted me on board, so it was an easy decision to make."

Meanwhile, Newcastle United could be tempted into negotiations over Alexander Isak if a hefty £150 million bid is tabled, as reported by the Athletic.

Without their Champions League qualification and Carabao Cup victory, Isak's future might have been more uncertain.

Rumours suggest that Liverpool may attempt to negotiate with both player and club, but they're not overly optimistic about a successful outcome.
