Under Chelsea legend Lampard - who is in his first senior managerial role - Wilson has scored 10 goals and laid on two assists in 24 appearances, directly helping to earn Derby 16 points in the league.

Wilson is yet to break into the first-team picture at Liverpool but has made a case for a long-term future at Anfield.

Issuing an update on Wilson's immediate future, Lampard has revealed that he expects the forward to see out the season with his playoff hopefuls.

"I have heard nothing from Liverpool, which is good news," Lampard revealed.

Speaking to BT Sport earlier this month, Lampard revealed he is keen to send joint-top goalscorer Wilson back to Liverpool in the summer as a more refined talent with the Welshman having only penned a new long-term contract in July.

"I think Liverpool are doing alright. Hopefully they can keep going and we can keep Harry. He can go back next summer and everyone's happy," he said BT Sport.

"All I want to do is send him back to Liverpool a better player. That's all on Harry as he's working so hard to do that."
