Liverpool have wasted no time in securing their first signing of the summer with Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong set to arrive at the club.
According to The Athletic, the Dutchman has agreed a five-year deal with the Premier League champions.
Liverpool are set to activate a €35million (£29.6m) release clause written into his contract with the German side.
The Reds have confirmed that he has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
“To sign another contract, I’m very proud and happy to see what the next steps on our journey together will be,” the young defender said.
