Darwin Nunez could replace former Liverpool team-mate as fresh bid 'considered'
Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli are reportedly the latest team to be weighing up a move for Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez.
The Uruguay international has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer after falling down the pecking order under Arne Slot last season.
Nunez, 26, started just one of Liverpool's final 22 games in the Premier League, a 3-1 victory over Southampton in March, with Slot preferring Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota to spearhead his side's attack.
At the end of the season, the forward was linked with a move to Napoli.
However, a move to the Serie A champions failed to materialise for Nunez.
However, it seems that interest in Nunez, particularly from the Middle East, is rife, with several Saudi Pro League clubs being touted with a move for the former Benfica man.
Writing in The Times, Paul Joyce reports that Al-Ahli, the winners of the Asia Champions League, are the latest team to "consider" a bid for Nunez, who cost Liverpool an initial £64m when he arrived from Benfica three years ago.
