Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful of a promising start to life back in Europe's second-tier competition as he aims to secure the only trophy missing during his Anfield reign. On a transfer front, Liverpool are said to be in 'advanced talks' for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.

So, European competition is back later this week and Liverpool will begin theirs with a trip to Lask Linz in Austria.



Speaking to TNT Sports earlier this week, the Liverpool boss already dropped somewhat of a team news hint when he insisted Liverpool will "respect" the competition.
