Harvey Elliott transfer unlikely despite featuring on Liverpool list

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott remains on RB Leipzig's list of targets this summer, it has been claimed.

According to Philipp Hinze, the total package for the England under-21 star is too considered too high, leaving Elliott on the Bundesliga club's 'shadow list'.

It has been suggested that Leipzig would need to generate revenue to fund a move but Elliott is attracting suitors from around Europe and within the Premier League.

In a tweet, he said: "Harvey Elliott is indeed on Leipzig’s shadow squad list, but as of today, a transfer is not particularly likely.

"The overall package of transfer fee & salary is very high, Elliott’s market is broad & financially strong.

"What was cold weeks ago has at least warmed up somewhat.

"However, transfer revenue would need to be generated first, as the squad is currently overstaffed, especially in the attacking positions.
