Liverpool submits whopping $148M Wirtz bid

Liverpool has tabled its second official bid for Wirtz, according to Bild and The Athletic.

The Reds have proposed a pay package of around €133 million ($148M/£112M), although Bayer Leverkusen is holding out for a price closer to €150M ($170M/£126M).

Alexander-Arnold deal done

Liverpool has received a transfer fee from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the move going through in time for him to play in the Club World Cup.

It has been confirmed that Real will pay a single payment fee of $11.4 million (€10m/£8.4m) for the defender's services and will also cover his wages for the entire month of June.

The social media figure reports that Wolves hold a “genuine interest” in the 18-year-old who has never played a senior game for Liverpool, while Moirrison is also attracting interest from across Europe.

Real 'accelerate' talks

More on Alexander-Arnold, and the Times state Real has “accelerated talks with Liverpool” to ensure the right-back signs before the Club World Cup.

The outlet states Real want Alexander-Arnold to sign for the club before next week and there’s confidence a deal will be agreed.
