Viktor Gyokeres 'prefers' Liverpool

Liverpool is one of Viktor Gyokeres' preferences for a move this summer, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola.

The Reds weren't linked with the Sporting CP striker much earlier in the summer, but speculation has grown in recent days, with Liverpool now said to be in the race with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Arsenal is still said to be leading the race, with the Gunners willing to offer aroudn $70M for Gyokeres, although that is still below Sporting's valuation of $94M.

Alexander Isak latest

Newcastle still has no intention of selling Alexander Isak this summer, with David Ornstein telling The Athletic FC podcast he would be "shocked" if any club was able to raise the funds to sign the striker.

Liverpool of course continues to be linked with Isak, and Newcastle seemed to give some encouragement over a potential deal as it launched a $172 million spree for three players, including Brighton forward Joao Pedro.

Ornstein though insists that while there's no sign of a renewal at this point, Newcastle wants to tie Isak down to a new contract.

Even without a new deal, the Magpies are in a strong position, with the striker still having three years left on his current contract.

A figure of around $206M is touted just as a starting point to bring Newcastle to the table, with interest from Liverpool and Arsenal confirmed, although there are no developments from either side.

Luis Diaz and his representatives are "upset" with Liverpool's stance over a new contract, according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra.

Diaz had suggested earlier this year he was set to hold talks with the club over a potential new deal this summer, but recent reports have suggested the club has no plans make a new offer to the winger, despite speculation linking him with a move away.

Liverpool may be facing up to another high-profile player leaving for free next summer, with Ibrahima Konate said to be eyeing up a move away from Anfield.

Recent reports have suggested that Konate has been left disappointed by Liverpool’s latest contract offer, and is now stalling on talks amid speculation linking him with Real Madrid.

West Ham is among three clubs interested in Harvey Elliott this summer, journalist Ben Jacobs has told talkSPORT.

It's claimed that the Hammers and Brighton are both keen, while Fulham is said to have made an enquiry.
