Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Michael Olise (Bayern Munich)
Liverpool could have to break the bank again to sign Michael Olise, with Football Insider claiming Bayern Munich has placed a $136 million (£100M) price tag on the forward.
Recent reports have linked the Reds with the former Crystal Palace star, who is said to be eyed up as a potential long-term replacement for Salah
This latest report suggests Liverpool isn’t the only club interested though, with a number of Europe’s top clubs said to be keen, although the Reds are claimed to be leading the charge.
Bayern though “will do everything they can to keep him”, with the $136M figure potentially just a starting point and “likely” to increase in the future, with Olise under contract until 2029.
Liverpool will need to have someone lined up soon though if Salah is to leave at the end of his contract, which will expire in 2027.
Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)
Another rumor from Football Insider, this time concerning Marc Guehi
We of course know about Liverpool’s interest in the Crystal Palace defender after his deadline day move to Anfield collapsed, but it has been suggested that Manchester City could now rival the Reds for his signature.
This latest report though suggests Liverpool is confident it will beat City, and other clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, to Guehi’s signature in 2026.
Liverpool is reportedly confident of landing Marc Guehi in 2026
A January move is looking unlikely, with the Reds instead expected to wait until he becomes a free agent in the summer - although that does mean Real and Bayern would be able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement from the start of January.
Liverpool.com says: Waiting until next summer does of course pose an obvious risk, but it probably makes the most sense for Liverpool now after missing out on Guehi on deadline day - as long as Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate or Joe Gomez don't suffer a bad injury in the meantime.
Fingers crossed that Guehi has already decided he wants the move to Liverpool over any other team, although there will be plenty of interest in a player like him if he's available for free.
