European nights are back at Anfield as Liverpool begins its Champions League campaign later today.
First up for Arne Slot's side is a tricky test in the form of Atletico Madrid, with Diego Simeone's side no doubt eager to make a statement against one of the favorites for this season's competition.
Alexander Isak will be eyeing up his debut following his deadline day arrival from Newcastle, and even after a busy summer in the transfer market and still about four months to go until the January window opens, there is no end to the speculation, with players still being linked with moves to and from Liverpool.

Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Joe Gomez (Liverpool)
AC Milan is planning a "serious attempt" to sign Joe Gomez in January, according to MilanLive
The Liverpool defender was linked with a move to the San Siro on deadline day at the start of this month, although the move never materialized.
It's claimed that the lack of time remaining in the window was the reason for Milan's failure to land the 28-year-old, while Liverpool's deal for Marc Guehi collapsing may have also played a part.
Milan's sporting director Igli Tare though is said to not be giving up on Gomez, and is planning to move for him again in January.
Liverpool.com says: If, as has been widely reported, Liverpool is not planning on moving for Guehi until next summer, and there are no alternatives lined up for January, then offloading Gomez would make absolutely no sense.
He is just one of four options at center-back, and relying on Giovanni Leoni if there's an injury would be a precarious position for the Reds to be in, so they should not even be considering an offer should it arrive from Milan.
Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace)
Liverpool could be in the race for Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, although Chelsea looks to be leading the charge for his signature, according to TeamTalk.
The Blues are said to be intensifying their pursuit of the 21-year-old as they look to address the ongoing injury problems plaguing Romeo Lavia, and are potentially targeting a move next summer, although a January move isn't being ruled out.
Liverpool is also said to be offering competition for Wharton's signature, while Manchester United and Newcastle are also interested.
Liverpool.com says: Wharton will almost certainly get a big move soon, it's just a question of where he ends up
He is a player Liverpool should be keeping an eye on, although he would likely be eyeing up Ryan Gravenberch's place in the side, and it would be extremely harsh to drop the Dutchman given his impact over the last year or so.
