Liverpool have been incredibly busy in the transfer market this summer, and they look set to continue their business right up to the deadline at 7pm on September 1.
This could see the Reds continue to add to their already world-class squad with a couple more additions, while there may be several players set to depart to allow for these signings, to get first-team minutes or because they are no longer seen as useful to the team.
Liverpool have got off to the perfect start this campaign as they look to defend their Premier League title, with their latest result being a 1-0 victory over rivals Arsenal at Anfield.
Arne Slot has seemingly built a squad more to his liking this summer, after he performed wonders with Jurgen Klopp’s team last year to capture Liverpool’s 20th top-flight title.
The Dutchman doesn’t appear to be finished shaping his squad just yet; with under 24 hours remaining in this summer’s transfer window, more business is expected.
There are only two notable names that Liverpool fans will be hopeful that Liverpool may announce on deadline day.
Both players have been long-term targets, at least for the length of the summer, with the pair edging closer to becoming Reds.
The deal that looks incredibly likely to be completed is Marc Guehi; the Crystal Palace defender has been touted for a move for a while, but it now seems like it will be completed today.

It has been reported that Liverpool have submitted a bid and that Guehi is ready to leave the London club to join the current Premier League champions, with the need to sign him now ever more pressing after the injury to Ibrahima Konaté.
Meanwhile, the biggest transfer saga of the summer has involved Liverpool, with the Reds arguably not being a big player in causing the drama.

The Magpies have now signed Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart, and he is considered one option to replace Isak; however, Newcastle wants to secure a second striker before allowing the Swede to leave.
Liverpool have made one official bid for Isak; however, they have yet to follow this up, and as the transfer window nears its deadline, fans will be hopeful Newcastle find another striker to allow the Swede to join the club to make him their record signing.
One player that may leave directly due to the potential incoming of Marc Guehi would be Joe Gomez, as it has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that this may be the case.
This season was his 11th with the club; however, it may be coming to an end, as Crystal Palace will not let Guehi leave the London club unless they get a replacement, and so Gomez may go the other way, or he could move elsewhere, with the versatile defender being linked to AC Milan.
Another first-team player that has been linked with an exit over the summer has been Harvey Elliott, with the player being linked to RB Leipzig.
While the rumours have started to go silent, there is still a chance for the English midfielder to leave the club, as Xavi Simons has left the Bundesliga club and would like him as a replacement.
