Liverpool has already been very active in the summer transfer market, but with another 38 days remaining until the window slams shut, sporting director Richard Hughes doesn't appear to be slowing down.
The Newcastle striker, Alexander Isak, could be next on the agenda.
He has seemingly indicated to his current club that he wants to leave after Liverpool made an approach last week.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle)
The first outlet to break the news that Isak had asked Newcastle to allow him to leave, the Daily Mail reports that the Swede is unhappy with Magpies bosses for breaking what he thought was a promise regarding a new contract.
Amanda Staveley, who is no longer involved with Newcastle, had supposedly assured Isak that new terms would be forthcoming last summer.
Last summer, the report says, Isak was left "furious." It was therefore supposedly only a matter of time before he asked to leave, with Liverpool an attractive proposal in terms of finances and sporting project.
Liverpool.com says: Isak is well within his rights to believe that he should be earning more money.
