As the season draws near to a close, attentions will soon turn to the summer transfer market and it is clear that Liverpool will likely be busy in the coming months. In what may prove to be a signifcant blow to Jürgen Klopp's plans, however, one target may have decided his future lies elsewhere. The Reds backed away from a potential deal for in April, with Anfield's recruitment chiefs having decided to pursue multiple new signings, as opposed to one marquee deal. Fast forward nearly two months and a host of names have been mooted as potential alternatives to the England superstar but no deals have been agreed, as yet.

This time around, there will be no room for error as the Reds look to bounce back after a somewhat disappointing season.
