The transfer window may have temporarily closed, but Liverpool looks as though it is on the verge of a huge bit of business.

Florian Wirtz looks as though he will soon have his move to Anfield confirmed, with a record transfer deal having now been agreed with Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool is reportedly set to drop around $171 million (€150M) including add-ons on the German international, with a medical set to take place soon.

All being well, Wirtz will join former Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong in making the move to Anfield, and Liverpool doesn't look like its done there by any stretch of the imagination, with its next signing looking like it's already in the works.

Liverpool has now made contact with Bournemouth for Milos Kerkez, according to Sky Sports.

An offer is yet to be made, although Bournemouth looks to have already lined up a replacement for the left-back in Rennes' Adrien Truffert.

Kerkez is said to be keen on a move to Anfield, with personal terms no problem for Liverpool, meaning a deal could be reached quickly after Wirtz's signing.

According to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, there is still no full agreement and no official offer from the Blues to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Chelsea is said to remain in talks with Ekitike, but Liverpool is also said to be in the race, although Plettenberg has told Sky Sports that the Reds will need to offload some players first.
