Matt Addison - It all depends on Florian Wirtz
For me, there are two positions that Liverpool needs to strengthen assuming that Wirtz and Kerkez come in.
In my opinion, Liverpool needs another attacking player, but which profile depends entirely on how Wirtz is viewed.
I really like the idea of playing him as a false nine, in part to keep Dominik Szoboszlai in the team, and in part because there are no obvious number nine targets who seem to be realistically available on the market.
.
If Liverpool can't snap up one of the best strikers in the world, I'd use Wirtz in that role and bring in another midfielder instead.
If it somehow can, then Wirtz becomes the midfield upgrade and you don't need one extra in that department.
Aside from that, on the assumption that there are no surprise exits, Liverpool should probably also be looking at another center-back.
Dean Huijsen would have been ideal, and though Bournemouth will be desperate not to lose three-quarters of its defense in one summer, I really like Illia Zabarnyi.
James Findlater - No.9 next priority
Frimpong, Wirtz and Kerkez would represent outstanding business, although there is still one position that really needs addressing.
For me, a new No.9 should absolutely be the priority — who Liverpool goes for is another question entirely, though.
In an absolutely ideal world where money is no issue and clubs happily let their players move without any fuss, I’d be going for Alexander Isak.
