Liverpool are not considering an imminent move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.
Reports in Italy this week claimed the Premier League champions have already made contact with Milan over the possibility of a transfer for the 25-year-old.
It was further stated the Serie A side would be reluctant to sell the Portugal international and had slapped a €130million (£109m) price tag on the player - the exact same amount Liverpool have offered Bayer Leverkusen for attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz.
However, the ECHO understands Liverpool have not made an official approach for Leao and are instead concentrating their efforts on completing the deal for Wirtz and also progressing interest in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez.

Luis Diaz has been linked with interest from the Saudi Pro League and Spanish side Barcelona, although Liverpool are understood to be baffled by the strength of some claims and at present have no plans to sell the Colombian winger.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are believed keen on Cody Gakpo despite the Holland international having emerged as a key player this season under compatriot Arne Slot.
