Don't worry, folks.

With the clock ticking ever louder, so looming into view comes the transfer deadline on September 1.

With head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes leading the way, Liverpool have been working hard during the transfer window to prepare the squad for their defence of the Premier League title.

Close to £300million has been committed on signing new players, with Reds owners Fenway Sports Group having long acquired a reputation for being canny operators in the market.

So what else can Liverpool fans expect over the coming nine days?

Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz arrived from Bayer Leverkusen for £29m and a club record £116m respectively, while Milos Kerkez moved from Bournemouth for £40m and Hugo Ekitike was captured from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal that could ultimately cost Liverpool £79m.

The goalkeeping department was overhauled with Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving at the start of July after a £29m move from Valencia agreed last August.

Armin Pecsi was signed from Puskas Academia for around £1.3m and Freddie Woodman joined on a free.

Giovanni Leoni has come in from Parma for an initial £26m while teenage striker Will Wright joined from Salford for an initial £200,000.

Even more players have headed out of Anfield, the latest of which saw Ben Doak complete a £25m switch to Bournemouth.

Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid for £8.4m with just a month left on his contract, Caoimhin Kelleher has gone to Brentford in a £18m package and Nat Phillips joined Championship side West Bromwich Albion for £3m.

Jarell Quansah went to Bayer Leverkusen for a potential £35m, Luis Diaz departed to Bayern Munich for £65m, Tyler Morton joined Lyon for up to £13m and Al-Hilal committed to spending £56m on Darwin Nunez.

Several loan deals have been agreed with Vitezslav Jaros spending the season at Ajax, fellow goalkeeper Harvey Davies going to League Two side Crawley Town, left-back Owen Beck at Championship side Derby County, Isaac Mabaya signing for Wigan Athletic and Luca Stephenson returning to Dundee United.

Lewis Koumas, meanwhile, is on the brink of a temporary move to Championship side Birmingham City.

Liverpool remain interested in Alexander Isak, but continue to keep a watching brief having had a £110m offer flatly rejected by Newcastle United.

But the recent developments on Tyneside, with Isak still training away from the first team and the club's hierarchy publicly opening the door to a possible sale, have ramped up suggestions a deal could be struck before the deadline.

The Reds have already opened talks with Crystal Palace over a move for Marc Guehi but will refuse to pay over the odds for a player who is available for free next summer when his contract expires.

In terms of potential departures, Harvey Elliott held talks with RB Leipzig earlier this month over a move with Liverpool valuing the player in the £45m region.

A surfeit of left-backs is likely to see Kostas Tsimikas leave, with the Greek omitted from the first two matchday squads of the season and being courted by teams home and abroad such as Nottingham Forest and Marseille.

And more Academy players could go out on loan.

James McConnell is wanted by Championship sides West Bromwich Albion and Ipswich Town along with Sturm Graz of Austria, while Kaide Gordon is in the sights of Swansea City and Derby County.
